What is something I wish I knew at the beginning of my journey that I know now and would like to share with others as they navigate a new injury/diagnosis?

To my younger self,

I know right now you're probably feeling like your world has been turned upside down. It's overwhelming, terrifying, and you may feel like there's no light at the end of the tunnel. But trust me, there is. You will find a way to not just survive, but thrive. It won't be easy, and there will be plenty of challenges, but you're stronger than you know.

Don't let those early feelings of despair define you. Embrace this new chapter as an opportunity for growth and self-discovery. Focus on the things you can do, not the things you can't. Explore new hobbies, connect with others, and advocate for the things you're passionate about.

You'll find that your voice is powerful and that you can make a real difference in the world. Remember, this journey is uniquely yours. Embrace the unexpected, don't be afraid to ask for help, and most importantly, believe in yourself. You've got this.
