Overview


Complex Rehab Technology (CRT) is a unique branch of the assistive technology field. It is essential for stakeholders, such as clinicians, funders and others to understand both the processes involved in recommendation of technology and the technology itself. This course provides an overview of the important evaluation process, followed by an overview of the categories of CRT and the conditions for which they are appropriate.

Learning Objectives

  1. The participant will be able to list two goals of providing seating components.
  2. The participant will be able to list two functions of an adjustable rear axle.
  3. The participant will be able to list two reasons that individuals use powered wheelchairs.
  4. The participant will be able to list two outcomes from a mat evaluation.
  5. The participants will be able to list one reason for tilt and one reason for recline.
