Obi is a robotic feeding device for individuals living with limited upper extremity mobility that require caregiver feeding assistance*. Operated by any part of the body that can activate an accessibility switch, Obi’s diners are empowered by the independence it provides along with its ability to restore the social interaction of dining with others.

*Diners should possess the ability to safely, and successfully, operate Obi as well as chew and swallow without assistance.

Obi’s patented features, including multi-directional food capture, portion control, spoon wiping, and food repositioning, allow for optimal and efficient food delivery.

Switch Operations
The diners controls their experience through a variety of accessibility switches that connect through 3.5mm barrel jack switch ports.

Through versatile, customized food delivery positions, Obi can accommodate nearly any age demographic and diner-preferred position or orientation in seconds!


Functionality Functionality

Obi weighs approximately 7 pounds and comes equipped with a rechargeable lithium ion battery that provides up to 3 hours of eating time per full charge.
Obi allows individuals who need feeding assistance to eat independently through the simple operation of the device.
Obi’s plate, placemat, and spoon can be cleaned in a sink or dishwasher. The device can be wiped down with a disinfecting wipe.
