Obi is a robotic feeding device for individuals living with limited upper extremity mobility that require caregiver feeding assistance*. Operated by any part of the body that can activate an accessibility switch, Obi’s diners are empowered by the independence it provides along with its ability to restore the social interaction of dining with others.

*Diners should possess the ability to safely, and successfully, operate Obi as well as chew and swallow without assistance.

Obi’s plate, placemat, and spoon can be cleaned in a sink or dishwasher. The device can be wiped down with a disinfecting wipe.
