Numotion's COVID-19 Response: What you Need to Know

Getting ready for your Home Assessment Telehealth Appointment


A home assessment is required by your funding source. This inspection is to verify that areas of your home will be accessible to you, in your new mobility equipment. If everything goes smoothly, it should take 10-15 minutes.

At least one day before your appointment
  • Download and install the MS Teams app on a smart phone or tablet. Instructions for how to do this can be found here.  Please let us know if you have any difficulties. We are here to help.
  • Locate a yard stick or rigid tape measure to measure doorways and thresholds.
  • Ask a friend, family member, or caregiver to help take measurements.  It’s hard to hold the phone and the measure tape at the same time.

On the day of your appointment
  • Have your smart phone/tablet that you will be using fully charged.
  • Turn on the lights and open the shades -- good video quality needs a lot of light.

When the appointment time arrives:
  • Click on the link in the calendar appointment sent from Numotion
  • Sign in as a Guest to join the meeting.
  • Once connected, you will be asked questions about your living situation and caregivers. You will be directed to take measurements of some doorways, and show us the flooring surface in those areas.

Getting ready for your Evaluation Telehealth Appointment


At least one day before your appointment
  • Download and install the MS Teams app to whatever device you will be using. Instructions for how to do this can be found here.  Please let us know if you have any difficulties. We are here to help.

When the appointment time arrives:
  • Click on the link in the calendar appointment sent from Numotion
  • Sign in as a Guest to join the meeting.
  • Turn on your camera and microphone so you can be seen and heard

A few additional tips if you will be with client and Numotion ATP is remote
  • Best practice is to have our phone/tablet mounted to a tripod for stability
  • Make sure the camera can view a wide enough space to cover the entire areas in which you will be working with the client
  • Make sure there is enough light in the room -- good video quality needs a lot of light
  • Have a tape measure available to capture critical measurements
