Charley’s Story

Once forced to forgo park visits and family time due to cerebral palsy, Charley recently received a manual tilt-in-space wheelchair that has greatly increased her freedom and independence. Now, she can enjoy playing at the park, attending school with her peers and spending time with her brother and parents.

Julia

Julia’s Story

Julia dreams of becoming the first female paraplegic general surgeon. The Tek RMD helps to make the cadaver lab, and one day the surgery stage, accessible and comfortable. Physically being on the same level as her classmates reminds Julia that she is no different and gives her confidence in her abilities.

Karen

Karen’s Story

Karen has tried numerous standing devices in the past, but never one as functional as the Tek RMD. She has benefited from the small footprint and ability to remain upright while moving around her home. It really is the small things that matter to Karen – like cleaning out her cabinets and the freezer all on her own.

Bill

Bill’s Story

After a cycling accident, Bill — a husband, father and athlete — found himself living life in a wheelchair. The transition was difficult. At six-feet tall, he often felt “talked down to,” making social situations uncomfortable. Then, Bill discovered the Tek Robotic Mobilization Device (RMD) that allows him to navigate a more active and engaging life.

Brianna

Brianna’s Story

Brianna lives more than three hours away from the Eau Claire, Wisconsin branch. She likes having her power wheelchair regularly inspected, but doesn’t like asking service technicians to make the drive. Remote Service gives her the comfort of routine inspections and quick diagnoses, without requiring a six-hour drive.

Caroline

Caroline’s Story

Caroline has been a long-time Numotion customer. When her family moved from North Carolina to Virginia, Caroline wouldn’t give up her Numotion service. The family has new connections at the Baltimore branch – including an ATP who made sure Caroline got a bike for Christmas.

Brothers Cory and Steven have a deep bond. They both have Muscular Dystrophy and also matching Permobil F5 Standers. Within moments of both boys getting upright, they were chasing each other around the house.

Delaina isn’t a typical college student. In addition to a full class schedule, she is also a fashion designer, blogger and adaptive clothing model. Delaina’s assistive technology professional makes sure that her wheelchair is always in the best condition to help navigate her busy life.

As Garon started to outgrow store-bought strollers, his mom realized it was time to look for an alternative. She thought it would be tough to find an ideal solution before an upcoming family vacation. Like any young child, Garrett wants nothing more than to explore everything the world has to offer. With his Freedom NXT Manual Wheelchair, Garrett can now enjoy his true passion for the outdoors, engage better in the classroom and more confidently participate in activities with family friends.

Arcy

Arcy’s Story

Arcy is a bilingual, yet non-verbal young woman living with cerebral palsy. To help address her significant mobility and communication challenges, Numotion worked with her to individually configure a Permobil F3 Power Chair, outfitted with a comprehensive communication device. Now, she is able to get around and communicate with greater ease. It is also helping her more confidently transition from high school to college.

Genesis

Genesis’s Story

As a young woman, Genesis is an inspirational survivor. Living with spina bifida has required her to have 22 critical surgeries – each one threatening her independence, mobility and life. Thankfully, her surgeries were a success, and so is her Numotion wheelchair solution. Its individually configured seat and seat back improved her posture, breathing, incontinence issues and her overall quality of life.
