Numotion's COVID-19 Response: What you Need to Know

side-image-(4).PNG1. Opening doors. The footrest sticks out further on power chairs, so opening a door may require you to use the footrest. Adding a toe kick can save a lot of wear and tear on your doors.

2. Closing doors. Closing doors in a power chair can be difficult due to the footrest getting in the way. Put a band or piece of rope on door handles. This allows you to hook one hand into the band or rope, and pull the door toward you as you drive backwards with your other hand on the joystick.
