Overview

This course will present power seating functions for powered wheelchairs, including tilt, recline, elevating leg rests, elevate and stand. Clinical indicators for each will be discussed. New features, such as pressure relief signals and pre-programmed combinations of movement will also be covered. Funding can be challenging for this area of assistive technology — the material in this course can be used to help justify these important features.

Learning Objectives

  2. Participants will be able to list three clinical indicators for recline.
