Brogan, a spunky and adorable three-year-old with Spinal Muscular Atrophy, is able to experience independence for the first time, thanks to the help of his first powerchair and his Numotion ATP, Jarrod.

“For the first time in his life he can explore his own surroundings and interests. He can get into trouble like little boys should! He is rolling right up to other children on the playground wanting to interact where he used to sit back and watch. We are amazed at just how curious and friendly he is and it’s such a joy to experience. It’s like his whole personality is finally showing,” said Brogan’s mom Kjersten.

Brogan can now enjoy all of the activities he loves, such as walks outside, fishing, pestering and playing with his older sister, and preschool from his customized powerchair.

Kjersten said, “We first heard about Numotion through the adaptive technologist at Nemours Children’s Hospital in Orlando, FL. With Brogan’s severe disabilities we knew it was going to take the right team and equipment to make Brogan successful in a powerchair.”

Brogan’s ATP Jarrod was, “attentive to learning about Brogan’s needs,” recalls Kjersten. “It showed in how his chair was perfectly built for him – from the customized seat cushion to prevent pressure sores and feather-light finger switch, to the parental controls, it’s clear that Jarrod understood what our child needed to be successful.”

“We are so excited that Numotion made Brogan independent for the first time in his life,” said Kjersten.
