Bass fishing wasn’t always part of Sammy’s life, but five years ago it completely changed his life. Sammy has faced more adversity than most people face in a lifetime, but has come out on the other side stronger than ever.

Now, at 35, Sammy loves his family, bass fishing and his new SoftWheels. “I went through years of physical therapy and four years of serious depression,” said Sammy, who was left with an incomplete spinal cord injury following a work accident and medical mishap nine years ago.

“A friend of mine introduced me to bass fishing and I fell in love,” recalled Sammy. “I now work with an awesome bait company where I can donate my time to my local middle school fishing team and share my love for fishing with the next generation of bass anglers.”

“When I am fishing, being in a wheelchair doesn't matter because the fish don’t care,” said Sammy. “I have the same chances as everyone else on the water.”

Sammy turned to SoftWheels to help with the bumps and jarring back pain he experienced in his previous chair when going over curbs and uneven terrain. “The Numotion team in Orlando is amazing and helped me through the entire process of getting my new chair,” said Sammy. “Dave, my ATP, showed me how the SoftWheels worked and I had to have them!”

“SoftWheels are a considerably more comfortable ride and unlike other suspensions for wheelchairs, they do not add weight to my chair. They have definitely improved my way of life,” explained Sammy.
