Pediatric Alternative Access Controls
Get more independence and control for your child.

Use & Benefits
Power mobility beyond the joystick
If your child has the ability to drive a power chair, but doesn’t have the hand function to use a joystick, there are other options. Alternative Access Controls allow your child to drive a power chair with just about any part of his or her body that can move with a good amount of repetition, including the head, mouth and foot.

Use
If your child can’t use a joystick, Alternative Access Controls offer a great path to independence — especially for those with limited motor control, muscle weakness, or fatigue.
Enhanced Independence
Drive controls give your child freedom to do daily activities without having to rely on someone else.
Weight Shifting
Your child can use their drive controls to manage weight shifts.
Smart Device
Not only can they control their chair with Alternative Access Controls, your child also has the ability to control other Bluetooth devices like a computer or other home devices.

Whether you have questions about insurance or equipment, or simply need some guidance, we’re here to help you.
Medical Necessity
Medical necessity is a key requirement for insurance to cover mobility equipment. Insurance providers will only approve equipment that is considered medically necessary based on your specific health needs and daily functional limitations. Our team works closely with your healthcare provider to ensure all documentation supports this requirement.
Insurance Coverage
Because most of our mobility equipment can be covered by insurance, our process is centered around working closely with your insurance provider every step of the way. From your initial evaluation to the final delivery, our dedicated medical documentation team ensures everything is in place to help you get the equipment you need.
