Brentwood, Tenn. (Jan. 8, 2018) - Numotion, the nation’s leading provider of Complex Rehab Technology (CRT), is excited to announce a three-year partnership with U.S. Hockey “Miracle on Ice” goalie Jim Craig, as Craig is brought on to create motivational content to inspire customers and employees and help create awareness for issues of those living with mobility disabilities. Content will be available on Numotion.com.

“I am honored to have a spokesperson as well regarded as Jim align with Numotion and our efforts to assist customers to more actively participate in everyday life,” said Mike Swinford, CEO, Numotion. “Jim’s passion for improving the lives of others by sharing his experiences will help inspire our customers, and others, that their dreams are possible.”

Craig first became involved with Numotion when he was invited to speak at the company’s annual National Leadership Conference. The relationship further developed through advocacy efforts in D.C., when Craig accompanied Numotion leadership to Capitol Hill to help shine a light on the importance of complex rehab technology. Through those efforts he learned the unique challenges faced by those with mobility issues and wanted to help.

“In my years as a motivational speaker I’ve learned that the power of dreaming, setting goals and having determination does indeed make a difference in a person’s outlook on life,” said Jim Craig, U.S. Hockey gold medalist. “There’s power in hope and I look forward to bringing just that to Numotion’s customers, employees and anyone faced with challenges.”

Content created by Craig will share his experience of overcoming the odds to achieve his dreams through videos and blog posts. He will also share insight and stories of inspiration surrounding the upcoming Winter Olympics and Paralympics. In addition to sharing his insights on Numotion’s blog, stories will also be shared via Numotion’s social media channels (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram).

About Jim Craig
Jim Craig is an American ice hockey goaltender who was part of the U.S. hockey team that won the gold medal during the 1980 Olympics at Lake Placid, New York. The American victory in the hockey tournament, known as the “miracle on ice,” was one of the greatest surprises in the history of the Olympics. Craig, who started every game in goal, was a leading figure in the team’s success. One of the enduring images of the 1980 Games was of Craig, wrapped in the American flag, searching the stands for his widowed father in order to share the gold-medal-winning victory. Following the Olympics, Craig played in the NHL for the Atlanta Flames, Boston Bruins, and Minnesota North stars before he suffered a career ending injury. Today, Jim is the President and Owner of Gold Medal Strategies, a motivational speaking and training company where he travels across the U.S. inspiring individuals and teams to be the best they can be and emphasizing that anything is possible when you believe.
