Brentwood, Tenn. (September 5, 2017) – Numotion, the nation’s leading provider of Complex Rehab Technology (CRT), has expanded its footprint in Southern and Central California, as well as Nevada with the acquisition of Academy Medical Equipment. Academy has been in business for more than 17 years and has seven locations – six in California and one in Las Vegas, Nev.

“Numotion is committed to improving the lives of people with disabilities by enabling them to actively participate in everyday life,” said Mike Swinford, CEO, Numotion. “This investment allows us to partner with more therapists and physicians in California and Nevada to provide people living with a disability in these growing states with greater access to innovative mobility resources, products, services and solutions.”

Fifty-nine Academy employees will transition to the Numotion team including Assistive Technology Professionals (ATPs), customer care, service and repair, payer relations, medical documentation and order processing teams.
