Brentwood, Tenn. (Feb. 27, 2018) – Numotion, the nation’s leading provider of Complex Rehab Technology (CRT), is proud to announce a partnership agreement with the Travis Roy Foundation. Numotion will serve as an advisor to the Foundation, providing guidance when assessing grants given by the Foundation to those impacted by spinal cord injuries.

The Travis Roy Foundation was established in 1997 to help spinal cord injury survivors and to fund research for a cure. In addition to funding research grants, the Foundation also provides “Quality of Life” grants to purchase adaptive equipment for those impacted by a spinal cord injury who cannot obtain the appropriate mobility resources through insurance.

“Numotion is dedicated to helping people live active and independent lives,” said Mike Swinford, CEO, Numotion. “The Travis Roy Foundation is doing just that, and we’re looking forward to sharing our complex rehab technology expertise to further expand the tremendous impact of these life-changing technologies.”

Using information provided by individuals requesting grants, Numotion’s team will share insights and provide expertise to assess and confirm requested equipment solutions. These insights will help the Foundation ensure awarded grants can offer the greatest benefit.

“The Travis Roy Foundation is focused on empowering spinal cord injury survivors through adaptive equipment grants that encourage and promote independence. Additionally, the foundation aims to fund cutting-edge scientists working tirelessly to find breakthroughs in the world of spinal cord injuries,” said Travis Roy, founder, Travis Roy Foundation. “We are grateful to Numotion for their help in taking our efforts to the next level, bringing mobility solutions and technologies to more people to greatly improve their lives.”

The Travis Roy Foundation was started after Travis Roy was injured in a freak accident while playing in his first hockey game for Boston University in 1995, leaving him paralyzed from the neck down. Since then, Roy has dedicated his life to sharing his story to inspire others, but also to using his platform to provide direct help in an active and positive way. About Travis Roy Foundation
The Travis Roy Foundation (TRF) was established in 1997 as a nonprofit dedicated to improving the lives of spinal cord injury survivors and their caregivers. Travis Roy launched his namesake foundation two years after surviving a catastrophic injury in his first and only hockey game playing for Boston University. Since that time, the Boston-based TRF has awarded more than 1,400 Quality of Life grants to individuals across the United States who have experienced a spinal cord injury, helping them lead more independent lives. Simultaneously, the TRF’s research grants fund scientists working tirelessly to find a breakthrough in the world of spinal cord injuries. Funding for the Travis Roy Foundation’s philanthropic efforts comes from individuals, corporations and foundations across North America.
