Like all complex rehab technology, All-Terrain Wheelchairs are individually configured, meaning that your chair will be customized to your needs. There are many configurations, including:

  • Positioning items like headrests and side and hip supports
  • Sophisticated powered tilt and recline functions
  • Manual and power elevating leg rests and foot platforms
  • Specialty joystick controls

Medical Necessity

To get insurance coverage for Complex Rehab Technology, your insurance provider must determine you have a “medical necessity.” This means you must have a condition that requires the equipment to prevent, diagnose or treat an illness, injury, condition, disease or its symptoms.  

All-Terrain Wheelchairs are very rarely covered by insurance.
