Ben is an Application Developer at Numotion and is also a Numotion customer. In 2012 Ben was a passenger in a car accident that resulted in a neck injury that left him as a quadriplegic.

After several years of rehabilitation therapy, Ben was looking for a new opportunity when he found a job opening for an Application Developer at Numotion. “When I found the job opening at Numotion, I thought it would be a great fit. I have been a Numotion customer since 2012 so I knew a lot about the company and their mission. I thought it would be a great place to start my career in IT,” said Ben.

As an Application Developer, Ben does a lot of planning and programming for computers. But often he is behind the scenes serving as operations support for when an order is stalled due to an IT reason. He works hard to prevent any obstacles so Numotion customers are able to receive their equipment as quickly as possible.

“As a customer and employee of Numotion, I see the steps each and every order goes through and has a bigger understanding of the process behind wheelchair procurement so I do my best to keep anything from making the process longer,” said Ben.

Ben’s ATP Toby is still his “go-to guy” and helped open the door for Ben at Numotion. “When Ben called me and asked if I would put in a word for him at Numotion I was happy to do that. I have enjoyed working with Ben and watching him pursue his career and to see how has been received by his peers,” said Toby.

Ben feels lucky to have this opportunity at Numotion and has enjoyed his time as an employee thus far. While working full time at Numotion, he received his Bachelors of Science in Information Technology degree from Southern New Hampshire State University in May of 2019 and received high honors.

“I am so thankful for Numotion and the chance to start my career,” said Ben.
