Nick’s Story

Nick is eighteen years old and just graduated high school. His hobbies include playing simulator games and being outside in his community. Diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy, Numotion has been a part of Nick’s mobility journey for five years.

Noah’s Story

Eight-year-old Noah lives in Pittsburgh, PA with his parents, little sister, and five dogs. Born with Escobar syndrome, a condition that poses physical hurdles, Noah lives life with infectious enthusiasm.

Rachel’s Story

Rachel has been a Numotion customer since she received her first wheelchair in 2016. “Numotion has been a pleasure to work with. Numotion’s convenience of home visits is incredibly helpful."

Richmond’s Story

Numotion worked with Richmond to provide him with a power wheelchair. “I have had 18 operations, live with chronic joint pain and severe nerve damage in my spine. Not being able to walk in the mall or the park has limited my life with my family. With my wheelchair, I can move around the city with ease now. take walks with my family and kids.”

Ricky’s Story

Ricky has been a Numotion customer for seven years and received his first power wheelchair at four years old. Ricky loves his Numotion Team and said working with them is easy.

Stefanie’s Story

In 2009, a C4 spinal cord injury left Stefanie, now thirty-eight years old, paralyzed from the chest down. At the time of her accident, Stefanie had just finished her first semester in advertising for her master’s degree and was an avid and accomplished equestrian. Stefanie discovered a way to bring horses back into her life through carriage driving. She is one of the only quadriplegic carriage drivers in the world, competing mostly against able-bodied drivers in the U.S.

Amaya’s Story

Amaya is fourteen years old from Slidell, Louisiana. Amaya loves music and dancing; she is a part of a special needs dance therapy group and performs in recitals every year and attends a weekly dance class. At two years old, Amaya was diagnosed with cerebral palsy and this past year was diagnosed with Lennox Gastaut syndrome, a type of epilepsy.

Mia’s Story

Mia is nineteen years old, living on the Central Coast with her parents and boyfriend. She loves to spend as much time in the water as possible and when they are not there, they are at Disneyland. Mia has Lupus and last year her Lupus took a turn for the worst and left her legs crooked and unstable, which led her to look for her first wheelchair.

Analiese’s Story

Analiese was born with Spina Bifida which impacts the amount of sensation and movement she has in her legs. When she was younger, she walked with a walker but that became more difficult as she got older. “I found more independence in my wheelchair because I was able to fully take in every experience, rather than that using all of my energy getting to my destination and being tired when I got there."

Elizabeth’s Story

Elizabeth is from Cincinnati, Ohio. She is a mom to a one-year-old little boy. She loves to travel, hike, hula hoop, and practice adaptive yoga. In August of 2015, she was on her way home when her driver’s side tire blew out and caused her car to veer off the road. Her car flipped multiple times down a hill and eventually wrapped itself around a concrete manhole resulting in her spine being severed in half.

Evelyn’s Story

Evelyn is three and a half years old and loves Sesame Street, swimming, sledding in the snow, and will become a big sister this summer. Evelyn was diagnosed with Rett Syndrome which affects the way the brain develops, causing a progressive loss of motor skills and speech.
