“More Than Expected”
Jaliece’s One-Stop Service Experience
Diagnosis: Cerebral Palsy | Numotion Customer Since 2019
When 8-year-old Jaliece, who lives with cerebral palsy, arrived at the branch for a service visit, the plan was straightforward: replace her backrest mounting hardware and complete wheel lock assemblies. But during his inspection, Numotion technician Tucker noticed additional opportunities to improve Jaliece’s chair and overall mobility.

Rather than scheduling another appointment, Tucker worked to provide a one-stop solution. He installed light-up caster wheels, the necessary hardware, and quick-release axles for the wheel assemblies. Because the parts were already available at the branch, the team was able to complete all of the repairs during the same visit.
For Jaliece’s mom, that outcome was a welcome surprise.
“I didn’t expect the issue to be resolved in a single visit,” she shared. “I thought we were just coming in for some brakes and a new harness.”
Instead, the visit turned into much more.
“This visit was more than I expected because I didn’t think she was going to get new wheels and everything else,” she said. “It made my life a lot easier.”
Having the parts readily available at the branch made a noticeable difference for their family. In the past, repairs often required waiting for components to arrive before anything could be fixed.
“Usually, I have to wait a couple of months for parts to come in before we can get something repaired,” Jaliece’s mom explained. “Since they had everything here, they were able to take care of it in one visit.”
The experience also shifted her perspective on future service visits.
“I would probably choose to come into the shop next time,” she said. “When they come to the house, they don’t always have the right parts or tools if something unexpected comes up. Being here made it easier for them to fix everything.”
By having the right parts on hand in-shop and taking the time to identify additional needs, Tucker and the team ensured Jaliece could leave the branch the same day with a wheelchair fully ready to support her daily adventures.
