Brooke’s Story

Numotion Assistive Technology Professional, Jeff, came to fit her into a wheelchair in October saying that working with Numotion has been easy. “It was a great experience. Jeff came to fit me and he was so fun to work with. I posted a video of the experience and everyone was commenting how Jeff was so passionate and perfect for this job. He made the experience seem fun rather than scary or sad,” said Brooke.

Monique

Monique’s Story

Diagnosed with ALS in 2018, Numotion has been a part of Monique’s journey since the beginning of her diagnosis. She first met Numotion Assistive Technology Professional (ATP), Chris at her local ALS clinic where he measured her for her new wheelchair that she received in 2020.

Christine

Christine’s Story

Christine worked closely with Numotion for a few months to evaluate and trial different mobility devices – over time a trusting relationship was formed. Numotion was not a contracted provider with her insurance plan, but continued to work with both Christine and the health plan in order to help get Christine her much needed customized power wheelchair.

Kevin

Kevin’s Story

In June of 2013, on the same day as their wedding anniversary, Kevin was diagnosed with ALS. Kevin has had a wheelchair since 2015 and was working with a different company when he got his first wheelchair. They first heard of Numotion at an ALS clinic and he asked his wife to give Numotion a call.

Dan

Dan’s Story

Dan was diagnosed with motor neuron disease (MND) in March of 2018 and ALS in June of 2018. By the end of 2018, he was beginning to use his power chair and by March of 2019, he became fully dependent on his power chair.

James

James’s Story

James considers himself a Professional Hobbyist. He is not sure that is a legitimate title but it is the best way to describe his lifetime of learning. James has gained some proficiency in Martial Arts, mountain biking, and paintball while dabbling in 3D design & printing, screen-printing, line skating, bicycle polo, Radio Controlled car racing, and a couple of other hobbies he has forgotten. Fueled by a seemingly unlimited supply of duct tape and cardboard as a child, James has always been a maker.  

Rob

Rob’s Story

Rob Semple lives in Waco, Texas. He was diagnosed in November of 2019 with ALS with a rare variant form called Brachial Amyotrophic Diplegia. At first, Rob and his family were thankful, before they realized how limiting it would be. Eventually, things became even harder when the disease began to affect Rob’s balance and his ability to walk. This was unexpected for them, and they needed to move quickly to get a power chair. 

Wes

Wes’s Story

In April 2020,  Wes was diagnosed with ALS and received a power wheelchair from Numotion. Since Wes is a huge Minnesota Wild Ice Hockey fan, Numotion decked his chair out in Minnesota Wild colors. Stephanie, Wes’ wife said that their Numotion team has been fabulous.

Karen

Karen’s Story

In April, 2017, Karen was referred to a neurologist after experiencing unexplained weakness that was progressing. Nothing could have prepared her for the neurologist’s preliminary diagnosis of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS).

Pastor Bill

Pastor Bill’s Story

Pastor Bill is a well-respected Lutheran (ELCA) pastor who served three congregations over a 33-year career before he had to go on disability following the progression of ALS.
